Facing Fear to Find Success – Tips for Life and Investing | The Kitti Sisters

Summary: Fear isn’t always bad…sometimes it’s the best tool for growth, confidence, and success! Dive into the blog to learn how to harness and overcome fear – so you’re ready to leap into living your very best life!

Life is full of unique, wonderful, and exciting opportunities. Buttt, we only have a limited amount of TIME to live life to the absolute fullest.

Time is our greatest resource, and how we use it matters.

So, we have to make a choice – do we spend time worrying, wondering, and wasting life by being too fearful to take action? OR can we embrace the risk of taking chances while creating a meaningful, intentional life worth living?

Yeah…we pick the second option too. 😉😉

As entrepreneurs and real estate investors, we get to choose how we spend our days, months, and years. That’s why we do what we do – to create the freedom to live how we want. 😌😌

But we also sometimes lose sight of the bigger picture, when fear starts banging on our door.

Well, today we’re learning how to open up the door, greet the fear politely, and STILL move right on past it in the direction of our dreams.

We hope to inspire you with our latest example of facing fears head-on, and offer tips for investing your time, energy, and money into what truly lights you up and sets you free.

Big opportunities are just on the other side of your fears. Let’s unlock the door to major growth…together!

Here’s what we’re covering today:

How to feel the fear and jump anyways

Recently, I (Nan, here 👋) took a wonderful trip to New Zealand. 🌳🐑

And yes – it was a perfect sabbatical for reconnecting with goals, tuning inward, and focusing on what I truly want. But this trip was also where I faced quite a literal example of how fear can sometimes get in the way of the best experiences.

So here’s the story, real quick.

There I was. I stood on a tiny platform, overlooking a giant, mesmerizing depth of uncertainty. This depth wasn’t metaphorical, though. It was an actual wide-open pit that led to a huge body of water, rocks, and whatever else might be lurking under the surface.

I was strongly considering jumping off the safety of my platform, and into the abyss below.

And before you get too worried, I’m talking about bungee jumping. 😂😂

Now, I knew that I wanted to experience the thrill and excitement of this freefall of jumping off the platform.

I wouldn’t have set myself up for the opportunity in the first place if I didn’t WANT to do this.

But let me tell you… that fear was brutal as I stood there, mentally preparing.

Then, I watched people jump off, one by one – setting fear aside and enjoying the ride. They were able to experience the full vibrancy of their lives by simply taking the next step forward.

Am I saying that bungee jumping is the only way to experience the fullness of life?

Nottttt at all.

I don’t even believe that it would have been wrong to decide I no longer wanted to take this action.

But here’s what I knew for sure 👉 if I climbed down off that ledge without jumping, I would eventually regret it.

That’s it!

That’s my simple truth, and I knew myself well enough to realize it. The opportunity I wanted was there, right in front of me. I had done the preparation up until this point. And now alllll I had to do was jump. ✨

And, yes. I did jump…and it was everything I imagined and MORE.

But this story isn’t actually about bungee jumping.

Not really, anyways.

This is just an example of how life presents us all with opportunities that we want and deserve. Then, when it comes time to take the action towards achieving it (AKA jumping off the platform), we sometimes let fear hold us back.

We see this all the time in real estate investing. The preparation is the easy part. But getting to that point of taking a leap of faith, without knowing exactly what the outcome will be?

THAT is the most important step. And something you can, absolutely gain the courage to take when the time comes. 🙌

Courage and confidence can be learned on the go

The truth is, no one feels confident 100% of the time. Sure, some people may act put together, but that doesn’t mean they don’t feel fear underneath it all.

Courage comes from doing things that you’re afraid to do, and confidence comes from the practice of facing fears again and again. ✔️

So, that means that even if we don’t feel confident or courageous, we can LEARN to feel those things.

How great is that?

Of course, it’s much easier said than done. And there are plenty of times when we did NOT do the thing that scared us, and missed out on something we wanted as a result. We’ve all done that.

But there are always more chances to face fears up ahead. It’s not too late.

➡️ You will have many more opportunities to take your own leap off a bridge – metaphorically or literally.

Now is the time to start practicing facing little tiny roadblocks that come up, so you can gain the confidence to tackle that big, possibly life-changing challenge when you’re standing at the precipice. 🤩

Practice doesn’t make perfect, but it CAN make more courage and confidence.  🙌

Using fear as a tool for growth

Even though we’re chatting about facing fears, let’s make one thing clear…

Fear is not a bad thing.

Seriously! If we never felt fear, we wouldn’t be able to know when we’re onto something reeeallly good.

Fear is basically like a GPS. 🗺️

It shows up when you’re about to start something new, enter a relationship, change careers, move to a different state, etc. When you’re faced with an opportunity for growth, fear can be an indicator of something great coming your way.

Using fear like a compass 🧭 can help you take the right steps toward the changes that are right for you.

Juuuust remember, there’s a difference between fear of change, and fear of actual danger.

Fear of danger means get the heck out of there.

But when you have a mindset for growth, surround yourself with the right community, and know where it is you want to go – the good type of fear can show you that you’re on the right track.

Now, let’s apply this to real estate investing for a sec.

Investing can be totally scary, especially when you’re first starting out. Maybe there’s fear of failure, losing money, or choosing the wrong deals.

Those are totally valid fears. And yes, sometimes we all make the wrong choice and have a setback. We’ve been there many times!

But there are also lessons to be learned from failures that can lead to future successes.

Read that line again…it’s a good one. 👆

In those moments, picking yourself up, learning the lessons, and starting again will set you on the path towards opening up even more financial opportunities for you.  ♥️🤟

Bottom line: start before you’re ready!

Alright, so let’s recap what we’ve discussed.

  1. Feeling fear means you just need to take the next step.
  2. By practicing facing fears, you can build up confidence
  3. Even failure can lead to future success and growth.

All of this is useful knowledge in facing investment fears. But it allll comes down to taking action, even when you don’t feel totally ready.

I would have NEVER jumped off the platform if I waited to feel 100% ready. And, that would’ve meant missing out on the most thrilling, incredible experience ever. Stepping off the edge took courage, trusting my intuition, and a little inspiration from others.

That’s what we need to take the next step towards investment success.

If you feel some fear around starting out or taking that next step, you’re in exactly the right place.

You’re on your own platform, and all you have to do is jump. 😏😏

We can’t promise it will be easy, because starting before you feel ready is never easy. BUT, taking a step outside of your comfort zone, with your dreams and goals on the other side of it?

Well, that right there is life-changing. 🌟

And, you know what?

The good news is, you don’t have to do ANY of this fear-facing stuff alone.

✅ We’ve created a community of risk-takers, just like you, who are stepping out of their comfort zones and into their very best lives.

If you’re ready to start before feeling ready, gain the knowledge and confidence to tackle your goals, and get inspired by others on paths to financial freedom and success… ⏬
